Maruia River Lodge offers exclusive luxury accommodation overlooking the banks of the beautiful Maruia River, one of the finest Trout fishing rivers near Murchison in the South Island of New Zealand.
Privacy is paramount at Maruia River Lodge, the seven luxurious detached one or two bedroom cottages each have their own private facilities and covered verandah that overlook the banks of the Maruia River.
The cottage suites feature air conditioning for those hot summer nights, mini-bar, fresh fruit, tea and coffee-making facilities, bath robes, hairdryers, direct-dial telephone and sky satellite television.
The sitting room and bar provide a wonderfully stylish atmosphere to relax in, whether to reflect quietly on your days activities, share travelling tales with fellow guests, or to savour an aperitif whilst deciding on which mouth-watering dish for dinner. Doubling as a photographic gallery to also enjoy some stunning New Zealand imagery.
A separate health pavilion houses a fitness studio, Finnish sauna, indoor jacuzzi, changing and shower facilities to either relax away the stresses and strains of travel or keep those muscles toned to perfection.
If feeling slightly more energetic, the lodge has 2.5km of riverbank and 500 acres of native Beech forest which offer the most delightful of walks on prepared pathways over bubbling brooks and gushing waterfalls.
Maruia River Lodge is 34km south of Murchison. Approximately 3 hours drive north from Christchurch, 2 hours drive south from Nelson, 1.5 hours drive east from Westport and 2.5 hours drive southwest from Blenheim.
